RE/MAX Greater Atlanta’s Buckhead/Sandy Springs office recently announced Deneé Sizemore has earned the designation of Accredited Buyer’s Representative.

This designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer’s representation and is awarded by the Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. Realtors must meet specified educational and practical experience criteria.

Sovereign

Sovereign, Buckhead’s mixed-use development that includes condominiums, last month sold a 48th-floor penthouse home for a record closing price $4.2 million, the most expensive condominium home sold in Atlanta’s recent recorded history, according to FMLS records.

Also in December, another Sovereign condo sold for $2.35 million, Janet Blanton, vice president of marketing with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Reatly, wrote in an e-mail. Sovereign is located at 3344 Peachtree Road.

Coldwell Banker

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recently participated in a reception in Buckhead as part of its partnership to provide real estate relocation services to members of Allied Athlete Group, a group of current and former professional athletes.

As the first professional sports market participating in the road show, the event was attended by Allied Athlete Group members, including active and retired football and basketball players and Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage executives and agents.

With headquarters in Atlanta, Allied Athlete Group was founded by Michael Stone, CEO and former professional football player. “We chose Coldwell Banker for the solid reputation the company enjoys in the real estate industry and results-oriented performance,” said Stone.

Astoria honored

Southeast Construction magazine recently honored The Astoria at the Aramore, a Kairos Development mid-rise in Buckhead, with an Award of Excellence during its Best Of 2009 awards program in Orlando, Fla. The competition recognizes construction and design excellence in the four-state region of Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.

This year’s competition was the largest to date with nearly 200 entries vying for top honors in 20 different categories based on construction type. The Astoria at the Aramore was recognized in the Multifamily Residential/Hospitality, under $100 million category. “We are honored to be recognized,” said Kairos founder Jack Williams. “To be honored with an ‘Award of Excellence’ is gratifying and humbling all at the same time.”

Coldwell Banker

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recently announced Emmett Carr and his team of Previews Property Specialists have joined the company’s Sandy Springs office.

Carr, who brings more than 15 years of real estate experience to this office, said, “I plan to continue my successful real estate career in the Atlanta market. … We look forward to serving the needs of area buyers and sellers in helping them reach their goals.”

Formerly with Coldwell Banker in Colorado as Previews Property Specialist, Carr specializes in residential, luxury and second home property sales. He is also affiliated with Allied Athlete Group — an organization of professional athletes that helps advance their current career and also supports placement in professional roles after their playing career.
